An attractive as well as unique example of Hall of Fame pitcher Vic Willis. The card features the Sweet Caporal 150 f. 30 advertising reverse (Ranked 34 of 39 in terms of scarcity according to T206 Resource).
This particular example of Doc Willis is rather unique in that the card has been miscut resulting in a substantial amount of his name appearing on the top of the card.

Nicknamed “The Delaware Peach,” Vic Willis was a hard-working, durable pitcher who won 20 or more games eight times in his career. He also lost 20 or more games on three occasions. Known as a real workhorse, Willis pitched 388 complete games over his career, and still holds the record for complete games (45) in a single season. He posted a 22–11 record for the World Series championship Pirates in 1909. While with the Beaneaters, he won 25 games as a rookie in 1898 and 27 games in 1899 and 1902. Willis led the National League in shutouts in 1889 (5) and 1901 (6). He was the league leader in ERA (2.50) in 1899 and strikeouts in 1902 (225). He pitched a no-hitter in 1899. Vic Willis was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1995.
